The documentary film Bag It has been garnering awards at festivals across the nation. What started as a film about plastic bags evolved into a wholesale investigation into plastics and their effect on our waterways, oceans, and even our bodies.

Join the Bag It movement and decide for yourself how plastic your life will be.

Host a Screening

Since Bag It's premiere in 2010, more than 600 festivals, nonprofits, theaters, churches, and community organizations have hosted screenings of Bag It across the world! Lend your hand to these efforts and host a screening of Bag It in your community.

Become a Bag It Town

Bag It Towns are municipalities that systematically reduce the collective consumption of single-use disposable bags.

Bag It Town requirements (must meet one) are:

  • Voluntarily ban plastic and paper single-use disposable bags at grocery stores or town-wide.
  • Pass ordinance applying a minimum fee of 5 cents per single-use disposable bag at all grocery stores or town-wide.
  • Pass ordinance banning plastic bags completely and apply a minimum fee of 5 cents on all single-use paper bags at all grocery stores or town-wide.
  • Pass ordinance banning all disposable bags at grocery stores or town-wide.
